About Us

We are the Feys, an ordinary family of four from West Michigan. Darin and I met in 2000 and got married in 2001. Darin grew up in Edgerton, Minnesota, went to Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, was an engineer at Innotec in Zeeland, Michigan for 9 years and a purchasing agent at Nuvar in Holland, Michigan for a year and a half. I am a pastors kid who grew up in DeMotte, Indiana, Salem, Oregon and Bellflower, California before heading out to Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I have a social work degree, and while I did put it to good use at a mental health agency and the Salvation Army, most of my post college years have been spent being a mom to Tyson and Jori.

Tyson joined our family on June 16, 2004 and our lives have never been the same. Since the day he was born he's been taking in everything around him and asking questions and seeking answers. His mind is always spinning and we sure wish we knew what was swirling around in there! Tyson often leaps before he looks, which can lead to some trying times, but we are so thankful God has given us such a cool kid who is almost always willing to try new things and enjoys the little things that we are too busy to even notice. Tyson often pushes the limits and stretches us to our limits, but we know that these same attributes that we currently see as "challenging" will serve our boy well in life.

Jori arrived on June 18, 2006 and has been full of smiles and giggles ever since. She loves to dress up and play with her babies, but is just as quick to get out in the mud or wrestle with her daddy. She is our little miss know-it-all, even when she doesn't know what we're talking about! On most days, Jori goes with the flow, but when her stubborn streak comes out we are often left wondering where our sweet girl went. We thank God daily for the joy He has given us through Jori.

Now we are starting a new, not so ordinary, journey as business owners in South Africa. We are excited to see what God will do as we step out in faith, but know that the journey will be bumpy at times. Thanks for joining us as we see where He leads!
